Overall this is a good stick for the price. Beginning lacrosse players would be able to use this stick and find it is pretty good. The Web-X pocket I find to be about on par with the Trakker pocket from debeer: stiff. The pocket really doesn't form to the ball very well, but that shouldn't cause a lot of trouble for young players. Overall a good choice for first timers, but more experienced players may prefer a deeper pocket then the one that this stick allows.
