No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I didn't want these for my 6 yr. old, but somehow they showed up under the Christmas tree from Grandma. My biggest issue with this product is it doesn't come with(and they don't even make) heel plugs for the double wheel models. So far my son has only used it inside the house. He's gotten good with lots of practice, but I don't see them being worn as regular sneakers outside the house.
